~Junia-T and Only1KNG on the beat. Ice Tha One on the 3rd verse and hook!! Beauge on that 1st verse! Mixing and mastering by Junia-T. ~
omgeeeeee ok so this one is a funny one lol. We recorded this in late 2020 also!! For some reason I was up for about 30 hours straight. I owed a few feature verses so I was getting that done all day at home then the travel downtown like I said in the last one is over 2 hour travel time one way to downtown toronto. lolol. so ya. but also, fomo is real. so i didn't want to miss out. the session didn't start till like 11pm. This was also the first time I met Beauge!! and so we were all just chattin and smoking, eating. vibin. and then someone walked in at 3am and to me, they just walked past the laptop, pushed a button and all of a sudden the loop that was playing in the background of us chattin was so enhanced that we all stopped, and just started writing. the person, i wish i could remember who it was lol but it seemed like they just breezed past and clicked a button and kept walking and i never saw them again lolol. remember i was tired af though so i'm sure they did more than push a button, but that's how magical I remember it. Ice was in one corner practicing her hook, Beauge was on the couch across from me practicing his verse and i was there struggling like, what tf am i gonna write about. so i just started writing to see what would come out and that verse was what came out. lolol and oddly enough all 3 of us came up with cohesive parts to the song even though we didn't discuss a topic. Then Ice added her verse a while later when we revisited the song. Another cool note, there's a line in the song where I say “ tell me is alberta up to par” and my idea was that like, hey i'm dope and keepin up with the ppl im surrounded by in YYZ, take alberta rap more seriously kinda thing ya know lol. but the way i originally delivered it, it sounded like, alberta is trash or sumn and that's not the case. I stay proud of the hip hop out of alberta and I was tryna showcase that, so i added in the adlibs behind that line “ya we is” lolol. I also almost took this track off the album at first sit down. just because it's such a different vibe from the rest of the album. very cali bounce esk. But over time, I could see how it still fits. This is a vaultron joint, has a dope story behind it, and it's kind of a perfect ending to very vibey album. it's the perfect lead in to the outro. why is it called 5ive am joint? well we wrote, recorded, and left the studio by 5am lolol. and I just wanted a cool way to spell 5ive and I'ma fan of 6lack.
Track 12 is It's All Love because the love I had for actually creating this project was so real on this session. I should've been sleeping. I had no money for even a red bull or food. but stayin positive, stay around good vibes only.
